Après avoir lu ses meilleures pages, toujours "on en sait plus"! Sa façon de traiter les "faits divers maritimes" est rare, très intéressante et son réseau d'informateurs est excellent. Bravo à Mikhail Voytenko pour toutes ses informations.
Maritime Bulletin down:
"Maritime Bulletin closed due to total lack of financing for indefinite time, maybe forever. Site will be accessible until the middle of May, expiration of hosting plan. Any questions or proposals email@example.com
Maritime Bulletin is just one person, me, plus of course, all the readers who are sending to MB information, materials, photos, etc. The website by itself costs peanuts, it’s just a cost of domain and hosting plan, the rest is done by myself, all that administering, networking, programming, designing, translating, writing and so forth. So MB exists as long as I have means to exist, i.e. physically survive. Never there was any financing even remotely resembling the financing of on line edition as it is generally understood, however small it could be. So MB (me) is looking for any scheme of possible financing. I have enough means to live on (rent an apt, eat, smoke and ride a bike) for two, maybe three months, so I must find something, some kind of support, during this period. I’ve been surviving like that for already more than ten years, being with that, most popular maritime journalist in Russia and Ukraine. My problem is, I write what I think, and highlight the problems which are taboo for the rest of industry media, always sailing against the mainstream of political correctness and interests of those who’re in power.
MB will go on with the news in so to say, “emergency mode”, covering only the most serious accident."
